As some of you may know, I enjoy to write. English was actually one of my favorite subjects in school with history close behind. Anyway, I was struggling with the fact that my mom was no longer here with us. Writing has always been a release for me, but it comes and goes. Most times I can’t force it to come. I just have to wait until inspiration hits.

Our Rainbow Journey
This past week, on Thursday, the 22nd of August was National Rainbow Baby Day. For those who don’t know what a rainbow baby is, it is a child born after a miscarriage and/or miscarriages. It is a bittersweet day for those who have lost a baby, as we remember the child we lost, while being thankful for the one that came after the loss.
I’m Baaaack!!! 😃
Hello readers! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA lately, but life has been pretty crazy! I lay here in bed writing this at 11:53 p.m. with a snoring husband to my right and a sleeping baby in his crib to my left. Between church activities, starting to cloth diaper, keeping up with household chores, juggling a few side businesses, battling sickness for a week or two and becoming a mother to two rambunctious boys, I’ve been pretty stretched. I honestly haven’t written anything for months, and I’m hoping this will help me jump back into it some and make me want to pick it up again.
Life with two little boys has been interesting to say the least. They both like to keep me on my toes! They love to wrestle, and play with eachother, which has been a blessing. Generally the older is able to keep the younger entertained while I get a few things done. But don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t always work out that way! Today being a prime example. Rewind to me trying to finish assembling a shelving unit I had gotten from Wal-Mart before my husband got home from work. The purpose of the shelf being to help organize all the cloth diapers and accessories. With my toddler wanting to “help” and my 8 month old (on Saturday) climbing all over me. It was quite the fiasco leaving me wanting to pull my hair out.. Then fast forward to bed time and neither kid wanting to go to bed. I’d probably be sleeping myself right now if I wasn’t so worked up. 😒 I say all that to give you a slight glimpse into my hectic life. Tomorrow is looking at me straight in the eyes as I glance at my clock again and see 12:09 a.m. I have a full day of baking ahead of me for the Farmer’s Market on Saturday, along with two loads of laundry that needs to be hung/folded and put away. The life of a stay at home mom/entrepreneur never ceases. So for now, I will bid you goodnight, or should I say good morning since most of you will probably be reading it in 8ish hours.
I will try and put the next chapter of my book on here next week and start back up with that until I’m all caught up.
Signing off,
Meghan
On My Way Home : My Novel WIP – Chapter 4
Chapter 4 has arrived! In this chapter, you will be able to see the love story of Skip and Penni start to unfold even more than it already has along with a discovery of something in their own backyard practically. When we last left them, Penni was getting her ankle attended to by the orphanage nurse as well as Skip and Coleen had just left the room. We pick up the story while Penni is inside the nurse’s office getting fixed up and we are able to read a protective Coleen’s conversation to Skip. I hope you enjoy! (This chapter consists of 3,746 unedited words)

Many of you have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of chapter 2. It is the shortest of my chapters so far, but I plan on lengthening it when go back through and edit different plot holes and mistakes that I may have made or left out. At approx. 1,674 words, there’s not much to it, but I hope you enjoy the first draft of this chapter nonetheless. If you happened to miss the first chapter, you can catch up on it here. So without further delay, here it is!

What We Were Hoping For But Didn’t Expect
So by my featured image, you could come to the conclusion that we are expecting again, and that conclusion would be right. I found out by taking a home pregnancy test about a month ago. (April 16th, so almost a month ago to date.) Continue reading “What We Were Hoping For But Didn’t Expect”
Mother’s Day Minus My Mother
