What Cancer Can’t Do: Our Story

I was going to be posting this next week, but with my mom’s unexpected passing this last weekend, I thought it was something that would help some people today. It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to write about next week (I’ll just push this week’s to next week’s), but this last Thursday, I went and visited my mom who had just gotten home from three weeks of cancer treatment for two weeks of down time. The next morning this quote popped into my head that I had seen quite awhile back. “What Cancer Cannot Do” although so simple, has a huge impact on my outlook for this journey we’ve been on for nearly two years. The Heartbreak Of Losing Someone You’ve Never Met: My Story

Okay, so this one is gonna be hard to do.. Sure I’ve had heartbreaks before. I had 2 official boyfriends and some unofficial ones before my now husband and they all ended in a heartbreak, mine. Out of the official ones, one was 3 months and the other one was just a month, but still. I emotionally invested myself into those relationships.

How can you emotionally invest yourself in a person whom you’ve never met before you might ask? That question yields many answers, but they aren’t very easy to type out.
