Chapter 4 has arrived! In this chapter, you will be able to see the love story of Skip and Penni start to unfold even more than it already has along with a discovery of something in their own backyard practically. When we last left them, Penni was getting her ankle attended to by the orphanage nurse as well as Skip and Coleen had just left the room. We pick up the story while Penni is inside the nurse’s office getting fixed up and we are able to read a protective Coleen’s conversation to Skip. I hope you enjoy! (This chapter consists of 3,746 unedited words)
It’s that time of the week again! Time for me to release the next chapter of my current novel work in progress!! Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below! Now still keep in mind that this is the first draft, so it’s still pretty raw and an unedited 2,745 words. 🙂 Continue reading “On My Way Home : My Novel WIP – Chapter 3”
Many of you have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of chapter 2. It is the shortest of my chapters so far, but I plan on lengthening it when go back through and edit different plot holes and mistakes that I may have made or left out. At approx. 1,674 words, there’s not much to it, but I hope you enjoy the first draft of this chapter nonetheless. If you happened to miss the first chapter, you can catch up on it here. So without further delay, here it is!
So I figured before we get too far in this story, I should introduce you to my main characters and their backstories. 🙂 So, here we go!
So it’s been a few months since I’ve started my blogging journey and I’m thinking it’s about time to share my longest running WIP (work in progress) with you all. That is one of the main reasons why I created this thing in the first place. haha
This post will be rather short I’m thinking, because it’s a hard topic for me to think about right now, but it fits what’s coming up, so here I go. Continue reading “Mother’s Day Minus My Mother”
This whole week I’ve been at a loss on what to write about. So I think I’ll share a poem I wrote back in 2010 (throwing it way back now!). It’s one of my favorites, an oldie but a goodie. I opened my childhood diaries in search of the exact date when I wrote it. It took quite a bit of detective work (one of my favorite things) but I was able to find it! I was in 11th grade when I wrote it, just 16 years old. February 09, 2010. Continue reading “What Is Love? : An Original Poem”
I was going to be posting this next week, but with my mom’s unexpected passing this last weekend, I thought it was something that would help some people today. It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to write about next week (I’ll just push this week’s to next week’s), but this last Thursday, I went and visited my mom who had just gotten home from three weeks of cancer treatment for two weeks of down time. The next morning this quote popped into my head that I had seen quite awhile back. “What Cancer Cannot Do” although so simple, has a huge impact on my outlook for this journey we’ve been on for nearly two years. Continue reading “What Cancer Can’t Do: Our Story”
This story is fabricated from a single word prompt. The first sentence is the prompt, but the rest of the story is purely mine! I’d love to know what your thoughts on it are! Would you want to read more if/when I decide to continue on with the story? What do you think will happen next? Your idea might just make it into my plot (with your permission of course!!) I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!! So without further delay, here it is! Continue reading “My Current WIP : Too Far Gone”
